Arroyo High School Knights Drumline
on the field or in parades and band reviews as a group within the main body of the band.
Battery members play snare, tenor, bass or tom drums.  The Front Ensemble members
remain stationed on the field sidelines and play melodic percussion instruments including
marimba, chimes, vibraphone, and keyboards.  The Front Ensemble members do not
march in band reviews or parades.

During the Winter/Spring, the Drumline becomes an independent section for Indoor
Percussion competitions.  Arroyo’s Percussion Ensemble competes in the Southern
California Percussion Alliance and WGI circuits.  Also during spring, the percussion
members are also divided into 2 groups which provide the rhythm, pulse and beat for the
Concert Band and Wind Ensemble.  Certain members also perform with the District Honor
Band and with the Arroyo Jazz Band.

Even with the enormous variety of percussion instruments, the members of Arroyo’s
Drumline bring any performance together as an amazing accompaniment to the band.
