Arroyo High School Knights Marching Band
The Arroyo Knights Marching Band is the primary instrumental performing group at Arroyo
High School. Consisting of all members of the band from grades 9 – 12, the band performs
at football games, pep rallies, band reviews, parades, Disneyland Park, and on the field for
field tournaments during the fall season.  During Winter and Spring, the marching band
performs together at school assemblies and tours the local “Feeder Schools” to
demonstrate what awaits the junior high school students when they attend Arroyo.
Marching Band members are also divided up into concert ensembles in the Spring, based
on which period of band class they are in.

Band members learn the language of music, turning little dots on a piece of paper into
beautiful melodies, and learning the intricacies of performance under the direction of the
Band Director.  Members are introduced to music theory as part of the band curriculum.
Regular rehearsals and individual practices assist the members in becoming proficient and
to be able to play at the highest levels possible for the ensembles.
